Getting a Card

A circulating library in a town is as an evergreen tree of diabolical knowledge. It blossoms through the year!
— Richard Brainsley Sheridan

Welcome To the                            Oberlin Public Library!

While many resources are available to all members of the public, getting a library card is your key to unlimited sources of information, continuing education, cultural opportunities, and recreation.

In order to obtain a library card, you will need to visit our Circulation Desk and complete an application. We also require a valid photo ID and proof of Ohio residency.

Once you have your card, please bring it with you at all times, and remember to help us keep your file current by reporting any telephone, address, or name changes.
